The Achenseebahn has connected Jenbach and the Achensee since 1889. The joint station of a steam cog railway and shipping in Seespitz is a unique combination. The Achenseebahn is one of the oldest steam-powered rack railways in Europe and is therefore an experience that will be vividly remembered. The locomotives come from Floridsdorf near Vienna and have an output of 180 hp. On an ascent and descent, the train consumes 350kg of coal and 3m³ of water.
